The display is really easy to see, and I like being able to zoom in and out using the jog wheel. Btw it took my husband about 1 minute to install. My husband decided to do some research how they add it to the vehicle and ended up coming across this. I like the different ways you can set map view. The area I live in doesn't have any new roads, but software has a few wrong restaurants and gas stations. The types of items available may vary depending on the year in which it was produced and the Mazda vehicle for which it was made.
Love the nav feature - it makes me feel confident getting where I need to go. For example, driving your Mazda up to Canada or down to Mexico can be confusing without a downloaded map. To be fair, my wife's 4Runner navigation system isn't all that great either. I think it's worth the money for anyone that travels because it's definitely easier and safer than using either your phone or even something like a Garmin Nuvi which I used before. But they are more difficult to use while driving. .
Then the road names are very scarce and poorly placed in map. So far, Garmin and Google blow both of them out of the water. In this way, you can get information without having to rely on satellite connections. Also the shipping was really fast. The fulfillment of my order from Med Center was exemplary.
Thanks for the heads up. If you're a seller, Fulfillment by Amazon can help you grow your business. I've also updated the maps since I got back home and am really disappointed that businesses that haven't been around for over a year still show up, and new businesses in the last 3 years don't. Your car can only use the same part number as was used before. Install a holder or a type of mount to keep your device still while you drive and to avoid causing damage if it falls out.
I ordered on first day of holiday weekend and it was here the day after the holiday. The last thing is only 2 colors to roads, inrerstates, and everything else. There are several settings to control information on the screen I haven't tried out yet. Any idea where to get a new chip at a less expensive price? The screen presentation is a bit different from other mapping devices Garmin, google etc. I was worried that it wouldn't work because it was half the price the dealer wanted. Of course I was a little skeptical, but my husband assured me it was the same thing and it was.
One annoying 'feature' I turned off was the automatic speed warning which turned the speed limit sign to red if you went even 1mph over the limit. Get the dealer to clarify. I have a 2016 Mazda 6 and all I did was plug the card into the slot in the center console and it worked. The navigation system works very well and gives me, the well known speed bunny, the opprtunity to see the speed limit sign turn red when I drive too fast! Bringing you maps, directions and more - all displayed on your car's touch screen. I backed it up before I used it and then again after 60 miles. The car is already hardwired for it. Thank you saving us the money! Not aftermarket its the real Mazda part.
Because of this, I knocked off a star in my review. These cards can then be swapped between different Mazda map devices to create a consistent and easy-to-understand mapping capability for your vehicle. Did exactly what it said. I didn't even have to walk through any installation screens like on a computer, it just automatically worked by plugging it in. If you need the sd card for your gps this is it. Feel free to educate me on this if you wish.
The maps are a bit old. Some will vary based on the year that your car was produced. This seller showed a very competitive price for this item, which was as described and is working well in my Mazda 3 2015 4-door. There are some used ones on eBay like this, so beware. Super-fast shipping, and they combined shipping automatically on another order. No muss no fuss it works perfect. It works well with the touch screen when you are stopped, and also with the console controls while moving.
