Gauge cluster was changed out according to a dealership. Dodge for life and now I know why!!! I Asked what about my truck is it covered to, the reply was how much milage do you have about 75,000. This seems to be a serious problem posing possible danger to the owners and other drivers. Front headlights and rear defrost stopped working just yesterday. I think this should be a safety recall beings it is a major safety issue due to not knowing how fast I am going or if my car is ready to overheat. It basically will not go over 65 miles per hour. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the entire instrument panel needed to be replaced. Try tapping on top of the dash to see if you can get it to come back on. The problems started only a month after I bought the car. Yes I'm angry and dissatisfied with the auto industry whose aim is to live off of components breaking down so you have to bring your vehicle back in. This is not exactly true. I also installed new led lights in the cluster while I had the cluster out. You would need a scanner to see if you can communicate with the dash to see if is functioning. The current mileage is 31,000, and failure mileage was 22. I have checked for recalls and the a none for this defect. It also shows it has no gas when the tank is full.
Sometimes it will stop while braking and pick up again immediately upon acceleration. The major issue resolved involves 1. It moves very slowly in the mornings. While driving 65 mph with the cruise control activated, the speedometer dial dropped to 0 mph. I believe the shaft should have been changed out.
